On the day
Pre-ceremony:
Arrival
- If you are arriving by car: you will collect your allocated guest ticket(s) from the Wristband Collection Point in Sports Pavillion on the Whiteknights campus, after you have parked in Car Park 1A. You should then get the shuttle bus to the London Road campus.
- If you are arriving via another mode of transport or you have pre-booked accessible parking: you should arrive directly to the London Road campus and collect your guest ticket(s) from the Wristband Collection Point in the large marquee on the central quad of this campus.
Guest Tickets & Livestream
Ticket Allocation:
- Each graduand may apply for up to 2 guest tickets during Formal Registration.
- Priority is given to those who completed the Expression of Interest.
- Graduating students do not need a ticket.
Collection:
- Tickets are issued as wristbands, available 2 hours before the start of the ceremony.
- Collection Points Opening Time: 08:00–16:15
- Guests may collect wristbands without the graduand present, provided the graduand has completed Formal Registration. We recommend you have their student number to hand to ease collection.
Extra Tickets:
- If available, up to 2 extra wristbands per student will be distributed from the collection points from 2 hours before their ceremony. None will be allocated in advance. For example, if a ceremony starts at 10am, extra tickets will be distributed starting from 8am.
- Extra tickets are first-come, first-served and not guaranteed.
Livestream:
- Livestream rooms are available on both campuses, on a first come, first served basis for guests without Great Hall tickets.
- There is no limit on the number of guests who can join post-ceremony celebrations on the wider campus on the day.
- Ceremonies will also be streamed live on the Graduation webpage for friends and family who can’t attend in person.
Welcome Marquee
After collecting tickets, guests should head to the main marquee in the central quad on the London Road campus, where they can relax and get refreshments, whilst students head to robe collection in Building 22 and then to the Student Processions Marquee. Announcements will be made when you need to head to the Great Hall to take your seats for the ceremony. The ceremony will last approximately 40-60 minutes.
Post-Ceremony: Celebration Zone (Whiteknights)
After the ceremony, we recommend you head to the Celebration Zone, located on the Whiteknights campus. You should get the shuttle bus from the Acacias Road entrance of the London Road campus straight after the ceremony. Activities and facilities include:
- Until 19:30: Studio & award photography
- Until 19:30: Visit the Alumni, careers, postgrad study info, merchandise and florist standso
- Until 23:00: Cafes, restaurants, bar.
Need additional help on the day?
Student ambassadors, wearing red, will be on hand to assist you throughout the day. There is also an Information Desk situated in the information marquee on the central lawn on the London Road campus, and in the SportsPark Pavilion on the Whiteknights campus.
Additional information
Guests with Children
- Children under 2: No ticket needed; must sit on an adult’s lap.
- Children 3 and over: Require a guest ticket.
- Guests under 18: Must be accompanied by adult at all times. This means that graduands cannot bring guests under 18 without an additional adult present.
- Recommendation: Livestream rooms are more suitable than the Great Hall for families with young children.
Accessibility & Special Requirements
- The Great Hall is accessible. Wheelchair spaces must be booked in advance.

Flowers and Gifts
Purchase or organise for a celebratory bouquet from our local 17勛圖-based florist, for collection on the day, after the ceremony.
Lost Property
- We advise all students and guest to always keep a close watch on their valuables at all times. The University does not accept any responsibility for the loss of damaged property.
- Any items of lost property should be handed to the Control Centre, London Road campus or the Information desk, Whiteknights campus.

Emergencies
- First Aiders will be available on both the London Road and Whiteknights campuses at all times as well as at the back of the Great Hall during the ceremonies. Please alert a member of staff or Graduation Student Ambassador if you require help and they will notify them.
- In an emergency:
- Alert a university official or Graduation Student Ambassador.
- In case of fire, exit immediately using the nearest fire exit and follow instructions given by University officials.
